[Convention] Experience C2E2 April 6-8

C2E2 is just around the corner! Taking place April 6-8 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, attendees are frantically planning what to do while at the convention. There is an impressive list of entertainment guests for fans to get autographs and photos with, as well as tons of panels to attend. And as we all know there is a whole host of artists and vendors to visit on the convention floor. But what else can you do at C2E2?

MASSVR Virtual Reality Experience

At the back of Aisle 200 on the convention floor, C2E2 is bringing in a virtual reality experience for fans to take part in. Up to 8 players can partake in the team vs. team battle to infiltrate the enemy’s base and destroy their power core while still defending their own.

Tickets are available for purchase here.

Gaming

In Aisle 600, you can find a freeplay lending library of dozens of new and classic tabletop games available for checkout free of charge.

There will also be tournaments and organized play for Magic: The Gathering, Pokemon, Acension, and Lightseekers. The full schedule is available here.

For the video game fans, Aisle 300 will have free play and organized tournaments of games such as Mario Kart 64, Super Smash Bros. 4, and many more.

Manga Lending Library

Want to take a break and get in some reading? Then the Manga Lending Library may be just the thing for you! C2E2 is pairing up with the Carolina Manga Library to bring attendees a lending library of over 5,000 books consisting of manga, American graphic novels, newspaper comic strips, art books and more!

If the sheer number of volumes available is enough to intimidate you, there will be staff on-hand more than willing to help you find something that will catch your interest.

All you need to do is show your C2E2 badge at room N426c to gain access to all the books you could possibly want during convention hours.

Cosplay Central

What would a comic convention be without cosplay? It’s certainly possible to have a comic con without cosplay, but it definitely isn’t as much fun! Cosplay Central is just what you would suspect, and the center of everything cosplay at C2E2.

The Cosplay Central Stage has a full slate of panels and workshops throughout the weekend, and you can find the schedule here. Cosplay guests will have booths there where fans can meet them in person. The Cosplay Triage and Wig Care booths will rescue cosplayers from any costume issues that may arise while on the con floor.

A changing area will be available for anyone needing to pull a Clark Kent and make a switch to their alter ego for the weekend. Backdrops will be set up, giving cosplayers the perfect setting for photos of their cosplays.

Family HQ

C2E2 is proud to be a convention suitable for the entire family, and even has an area dedicated to families! This area of the Show Floor will have hands-on workshops, interactive programming, and entertaining performances for attendees bringing along their children. You can find the full schedule here.

Tickets for C2E2 are available for purchase here.

Will you be attending C2E2 this year? What are you looking forward to the most?
