A new face is coming to Garrison, Colorado and no, you’re not getting Punk’d.
Actor Dax Shepard joins Netflix‘s original series ‘The Ranch‘ in the role of Luke Matthews, a former soldier who has come to Garrison with some history concerning the Iron River Ranch. He meets the Bennetts and forms an immediate bond with Colt and Beau, but Luke’s past has a way of catching up with him.
Shepard, known for his comedic wit, is a smart move for the Ashton Kutcher comedy series. Following the release of Danny Masterson, who had been written out of the show last December following multiple sexual assault allegations made against him, Shepard’s arrival is a step in the right direction to continue the comedy series. The chemistry between Shepard and Kutcher from their days working together on MTV’s Punk’d should translate to great programming. Though it hasn’t been announced how many episodes in which Dax will appear, if well-received by fans (very likely), hopefully it leads to promoting Shepard from guest star to cast member.
You can catch up on ‘The Ranch’ now on Netflix.
