An article today on Variety reports that Disney Channel is looking to revive its teen spy series Kim Possible with a live-action movie.

The script is being written by series creators Mark McCorkle and Robert Schooley, as well as Josh Cagan. It will be co-directed by Adam B. Stein and Zach Lipovsky. Casting is underway for the film, which will be the third Kim Possible movie. The series also has two animated Disney Channel movies – “Kim Possible: So the Drama” and “Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time”.

Kim Possible first launched in 2002, and ran for 87 episodes. The animated series followed the not-so-ordinary life of the titular heroine as she tried to balance family and high school with saving the world from evil villains. She was helped by her best friend Ron Stoppable, his naked mole-rat Rufus, and tech genius Wade. Kim Possible was voiced by Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle voiced Ron Stoppable.

Here’s a video of the show’s theme song, sung by Christina Millian.
