Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017: The Debut of ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Trailer

I only know one truth: It’s time for the Jedi to end.

Star Wars Celebration, oh how we love you! Friday in Orlando, Florida, the first ever trailer for this winter’s upcoming release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi was teased and even from these early clips, it looks quite impressive.

Also released today was the first movie poster for Episode VIII and has been shared and spread across their Twitter feed:

The trailer focuses on Rey’s training in using the force and becoming a Jedi from mentor Luke Skywalker at the same island seen at the end on Star Wars: A Force Awakens. “Breathe. Just, breathe. Now reach out. What do you see?” we hear Skywalker say as the young apprentice is learning. “Light. Darkness. A balance,” she replies. But the older, wiser Jedi, Luke responds to her, “It’s so much bigger.” Plus we see clips featuring BB-8, Kylo Ren, the Millenium Falcon, and a shattered mask belonging to Darth Vader.

Director Rian Johnson told fans in attendance today that the film is still in the “post-production and editing process.” Here’s your first look at this Christmas season’s’ release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi arrives in theaters December 15th, 2017.
