See the First Five Minutes of ‘Ghost In The Shell’

In a previous post, we shared with you a behind the scenes look at some of the costume design and practical props used in the upcoming movie Ghost in the Shell. Today, Paramount shared an extended clip via Twitter, giving us nearly 5 minutes from the beginning of the film.

The digital effects in the clip are simply stunning, creating a believable world that truly looks and feels like a bustling, futuristic city. They blend seamlessly with the practical effects such as the Major’s suit and the robot geishas.

The action is similarly intense, even giving off a Matrix-like vibe, which is known to be an influence of Ghost in the Shell and other anime. Scarlett Johansson handles herself expertly, showing even more that she could no doubt carry a Black Widow movie on her own.

If the rest of the movie is of the same caliber of this brief clip, it is sure to be very impressive.

Ghost in the Shell will be in US theaters Friday March 31st.

What did you think of the clip? Are you excited to see the rest of the movie? Let us know in the comments!
