Last season, Supergirl and The Flash teamed up in “World’s Finest” to defeat Silver Banshee and Livewire. Later this season, they will be taking on a villain of a more musical nature.
As mentioned previously, The Flash and Supergirl will be crossing over once again this season in a pair of musical episodes. The villain was revealed to be none other than the Music Meister, and we now know who he will be portrayed by.
TVLine announced today that Darren Criss will be joining his former Glee cast mates Melissa Benoist and Grant Gustin in the pair of episodes. Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg said, “We have been blown away by his talent over the years and we can’t wait to see what he brings to the Music Meister.”
Last week, EW teased which cast members will showcase their singing talent in the crossover. The storyline will start in Supergirl on March 20, then most of the singing action will take place in The Flash the following night, March 21. The Flash episode, titled ‘Duet’, will feature singing from Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Melissa Benoist (Kara Zol-El/Supergirl), Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Carlos Valdez (Cisco Ramon/Vibe), Jeremy Jordan (Winn Schott), Victor Garber (Martin Stein/Firestorm), and John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn). David Harewood (Hank Henshaw/J’onn Jonzz) and Chris Wood (Mon-El) will also appear, but will not be singing.
Supergirl returns tonight at 8pm ET/7pm CT, and The Flash returns tomorrow night 8pm ET/7pm CT, both on the CW.
