|Norwalk, CT-(Jan 18, 2016) – The Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth is coming to the Windy City. Make: and event partner Reed Exhibitions announced today, Maker Faire Chicago 2017 @ C2E2, a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker Movement.
Maker Faire is a two-day, all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors. “Makers” from around the Midwest and beyond will come to Maker Faire Chicago to show what they have made and to share what they have learned during the making process. The Faire will take place in Lakeside Center at McCormick Place on Saturday, April 22, from 10am to 7pm and Sunday, April 23, from 10am to 5pm.
Maker Faire Chicago will be one of three Flagship Faires in 2017, with existing events in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. Unique to Maker Faire Chicago is its co-location at McCormick Place with the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2), a comic book and pop culture convention spanning the latest and greatest from the world of comics, movies, television, toys, anime, manga and video games. The two events will provide attendees with a fun-filled weekend celebrating the many diverse aspects of creativity, innovation, and technology.
