Two Years Ago Today – May 5, 2015

Two years ago, it was Cinco de Mayo and Manny told us how to correctly celebrate this historic day and its true meaning and origin (It probably isn’t what you think.) So, on this day you can have your gatherings with food and beer but take a moment to remember those that fell at the Battle of Puebla and the patriotism this day truly represents.

Legendary Tejana singer Selena Quintanilla was shot and killed by Yolanda Salvidar, the president of her fan club in 1995.  Acrovirt and UC San Diego Selena were attempting to bring Selena back to the concert stage in hologram format.  Apparently their efforts failed, but you can still check out the article.

We finally had a release date for the highly anticipated game, Batman: Arkham Knight. The game was set one year following the events of Batman: Arkham City.  Batman, at the top of his game, is on the hunt for the Scarecrow, who is rounding up Gotham’s villains in an attempt to kill the caped crusader.  The game was rated “Mature”

We found out about a new Attack on Titan’s game that would be released for the Nintendo 3DS.

We found out that Duolingo was creating a learning program for Klingon. It still hasn’t come to market, but it’s due to be available next August.
