Two Years Ago Today – May 1, 2015

Two Years Ago Today is Back by Demand!!!

May 1, 2015 had a nice cross section of subjects; we covered books, movies, comics, TV and even had an ‘ahhhh’ factor.

We found out that Dr. Seuss favorite, “Green Eggs and Ham,” is to be adapted for a 13-episode Netflix series. Jared Stern, Ellen DeGeneres, Jeff Kleeman, Mike Karz and David Dobkin are the executive producers of the show. It was slated to take three years to make the series which means that we should have a 2018 premiere. The show will feature Sam-I-Am and Guy going on a cross-country trip that would test the limits of their friendship. As they learn to try new things, they find out what adventure brings.

Manny introduced us to Alex Ross, an artist, writer, penciller, inkist, and colorist in the comic book world whose work stands out due to its uniqueness.  Alex Ross has commissioned pieces for Marvel, DC, and a number of independent publishers and you can find out more about him in our article.

For a Free Comic Book Day preview, we were given Valiant’s 25th Anniversary Special.

Lucasfilm Studios showed us that weren’t run by robotic tin men when they responded to a troubled boy’s fan letter.

We also learned today about a mini-series revival of one of our favorite sci-fi series, The X-files. The revival was so popular that there is now another mini-series planned.
