Written by April Carvelli 1/29/16
Not everything in the Cosplay world is bright and shiny, and the convention world is not an easy one to make money in, especially now that it has gone mainstream and conventions are popping up everywhere and many of them are huge failures.
Daytona2050 was a convention that was over-planned, over-promised, and poorly run, and as a result it under-performed and the owner, Heath Jones, is making everyone else pay for his mistakes.

#3 – Geek Girl Chicago’s Controversy In The Cosplay World
Written by April Carvelli 02/10/16
There has recently been an article posted on Geek Girl Chicago by one of their writers that has caused significant controversy in the local cosplay community. Unfortunately the article is very one sided as it has been written from the perspective of the victim. There was no third party perspective and the accused was not provided an opportunity to defend themselves in the same forum. The article has already done significant damage to the reputation, hobby, and career of the accused.
