Escape rooms are a physical and mental adventure that has become exceedingly popular is recent years where participants are locked in a room and must use elements in the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within a set time limit. Now, Avengers and Captain America star Chris Evans is giving four fans the opportunity to experience an escape room with him.
Evans has teamed up with Omaze to raise money for his charity Christopher’s Haven and give one winner and three friends a trip to Boston to experience a unique escape room with him. According to the website,
“Chris is inviting you and three friends to join him in what could be one of his most action-packed adventures yet: a custom escape room in Boston. You could solve a murder, get locked up in a haunted house, rob a bank or maybe even solve a murder in a haunted bank. No matter the narrative, it’s going to be a night you’ll never forget, complete with scares, laughs, and celebratory burgers and beer. Flights and hotel are on us.”
Christopher’s Haven is an organization that provides temporary housing for families of children being treated for cancer at nearby Boston hospitals. It is located across the street from Massachusetts General Hospital, is powered mainly by volunteers, and includes massage therapy, arts & crafts, pet therapy, and organizes outings.
Even if you don’t win the big prize, contributors may be eligible to win other prizes such as merchandise signed by Evans, apparel, and a personalized outgoing voicemail message recorded by Evans.
Evans famously made a bet with Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt last year when the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks faced each other in the Superbowl, agreeing to visit the children’s charity of the winner’s choice. When Pratt’s team lost, he visited Christopher’s Haven dressed as his character Star-Lord to entertain the children. Evans later visited Seattle Children’s Hospital dressed as his character Captain America, along with Pratt.
