Writer Marguerite Bennett (InSeXts, A-Force) is teaming with AfterShock Comics for a new comic book series focusing on people’s furry friends… or at least they WERE our friends. Animosity, which will be released this August, shows what happens after the animal kingdom decides to assert its dominance over humans.
The best way to describe this title is by its tagline:”One day, the animals woke up. They started thinking. They started talking. They started taking revenge.”>
Animosity follows one girl as she and her dog set off on a a trip across the country from New York City, New York to San Francisco, California in search of the one person who might be able to keep her safe. Bennett is pairing up with Superzero artist Rafael de Latorre for the title’s illustrations.Animosity No. 1 will be in comic book stores and available digitally on August 3rd. You can find more information about the series on the AfterShock website.

One day, the Animals woke up. They started thinking. They started talking. They started taking revenge.
Now, a dog and his girl are trying to get away–out of New York City, and all the way to San Francisco, to the only person who might be able to protect and save her.
From the writer of InSeXts, A-Force, and Bombshells and the artist of Superzero, comes a new kind of road trip, a new kind of black comedy, and a new kind of coming-of-age.
