It’s TV you read! Independent comic book publisher Sitcomics, a new comic book company that gives popular comic book genres a sitcom twist, was founded by veteran TV writer Darin Henry (Seinfeld, Futurama, KC Undercover). Sitcomics mixes his two decades of sitcom writing experience with his lifelong love of comic books in a new line of titles that feature 21st century characters for 21st century readers.
Jeff Shultz, an artist for Betty & Veronica, handles the visuals on the 64-page college vampire comedy Super ‘Suckers. Throw in a plethora of hilarious Sit-Commercials and you’ll easily understand why they say Sitcomics is TV you read! Here’s the scoop from Sitcomics…
Veteran sitcom writers Darin Henry (Seinfeld, Futurama, KC Undercover) and Robin Taylor (My Family, Two Pints) rejoin forces with artist extraordinaire Jeff Shultz (Betty & Veronica, Peanuts) to create Super ‘Suckers #2.2, available now from Sitcomics™!
In this hilarious second chapter of the 3-part “Mirror, Mirror” story arc, Jess and Kelly, two beautiful college students who caught the “vampire” STD off their two-timing Eastern European boyfriend, learn to deal with their new lives as college students by day and bloodsucking monsters by night! Paranoid parents, unreliable “suck buddies” and a government sting involving bogus vampire mirrors combine to deliver the laughs in this all-new, all-funny digital-first release.
Super ‘Suckers™ #2.2 is a deliciously delightful digital-first romp which, according to writer Darin Henry (Seinfeld, Futurama), also contains the first-ever comic book deleted scene. “The fans who have supported our digital releases have been so wonderful,” says Henry, who currently serves as writer and co-executive producer for Disney’s hit sitcom KC Undercover. “It felt right to reward that support which is why this four page deleted scene, featuring the original opening sequence to issue #2.1, will be exclusive to this digital release and will NOT be included in this summer’s print edition.”
Super ‘Suckers diverse, female-empowering storytelling-style helps deliver on Sitcomics’ mission to create all-new, 21st century characters for 21st century readers. Colorist Glenn Whitmore and letterer Marshall Dillon round out the creative team for Super ‘Suckers #2.1.
Super ‘Suckers #2.1, 2.2 & 2.3 will be combined for release in Sitcomics’™ exlcusive, 68 page, print-only Binge Book™ format. Writer Darin Henry and artist Jeff Shultz will be promoting this strictly limited print release at Awesome Con in Washington D.C. June 3rd, 4th and 5th, as well as the Harrisburg Comic Con in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania later in the same month.
