Zenescope’s Grimm Tales of Horror #8 – A Classic for your Horror Collection

I had the distinct pleasure of receiving a preview issue of Zenescope’s Grimm Tales of Terror #8.

zenescope grimm tale of terror #8This is a take on an old classic horror story, The Monkey’s Paw. Ann Toole did a spectacular job writing the classic horror tale. It’s a story that has been done a million times and you know exactly how it’s going to end, but do you?

Like all good tales there is a twist, but we’re not going to tell you what it is and ruin it.

The cover is a perfect representation of the story and what is to come. Everyone knows the tale of the Money Paw, so that is no spoiler….just a preview of what may be coming up.

The story is by a trio of terror Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco, and Anne Toole. The art by Sean Hill and the colors by Marco Lesko pair up beautifully to give you detailed facial expressions, putting the emotion behind the words and letting you truly feel the story.

It’s a good story and great comic that would fit perfectly in any horror tale collection. The way it is written reminds me of the classic horror comics I grew up with.

If you are a fan of the classics, then I recommend that you make sure you grab a copy when it hits shelves May 11th.
