Vanessa Hudgens To Star In DC Comics’ Superhero Comedy Series “Powerless”

Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical, Spring Breakers) is heading to comedy television as she was announced to have landed a role on DC Entertainment’s show “Powerless.”  Hudgens was cast as the lead in NBC’s upcoming DC-based sitcom Powerless.

The comedy is depicted as, “a workplace comedy set at one of the worst insurance companies in America — with the twist being that it also takes place in the universe of DC Comics.” Hudgens will play Emily Locke, a claims adjuster who loves her job because of all the people she gets to help, but who is increasingly exasperated by the disruptive antics of the various Superheroes that proliferate in her city.
