LEGO Says “To The Batcave!” With New Set From TV Series

Lego Batcave

Oh LEGO, you sure know how to make a fanboy geek out.  On the February 2016 LEGO Store Calendar, images are shown of a new set available for VIP Early Access members… the LEGO Batman Classic TV Series Batcave!  LEGO has gone to great measures to bring accuracy to the lair and do justice to the TV series.  This set is accompanied with two “fireman’s poles” to which Bruce and Dick can slide down from Wayne Manor and transform into Batman and Robin.  Oh yeah!  We apologize for the grainy pictures, but this hasn’t been officially released and photos were taken by one of the VIP Early Access members who were privy to advance pics.

Lego Batcave Figures

From the fuzzy zoom-in of the characters included, it appears as the nine new Lego figures are (in order l.-r.):

  • Batman
  • Bruce Wayne
  • Robin
  • Dick Grayson
  • Alfred Pennyworth
  • Catwoman
  • The Joker
  • The Penguin
  • The Riddler

Lego Batcave (Back)

The picture on the back of the box gives you a full, front view of the Batcave, the Batcopter, the Batmobile, and the characters.  If you look real close, you can see what appears to be the Batcycle with sidecar!  Unfortunately the set shows neither the amount of bricks included nor the price.  Guessing by LEGO standards for large sets like this, it isn’t unreasonable to expect this set to retail in the $150-$200 range.  Wouldn’t even be able to guess at the number of bricks.

The LEGO (76052) Batman Classic TV Batcave set is scheduled to be released online and in stores on February 17th for VIP Members, and March 1st 2016 for non-VIPs.

Just for some flashback fun, here’s a look at the Batman TV series opening credits…
