Shocking news has been hitting the social media waves and has now been confirmed by multiple credible sources.
The former lead singer for Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver Scott Weiland has been found died in his tour bus. Scott who had bust into the music scene in the 90’s with Stone Temple Pilots was always a much beloved singer and tremendous talent known very famously for his long battled substance abuse issues for so many years. It’s unclear right now what caused his death.
A source connected to the band told TMZ that Scott was found Thursday night on the bus around 9 PM — presumably, shortly before the band was to go on.
Official statement reads: Scott Weiland passed away in his sleep”.
The time of death was 9pm, before he went on stage. Scott was only 48 years old.
Weiland was on tour with his band Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts … they were supposed to play the Medina Ballroom tonight, but the show was cancelled.
