If you are like me, then you grew up on bad movies, particularly bad sci-fi. I loved watching the Late night specials or the afternoon monster flicks. And then in the 1988 Mystery Science Theater 3000 came along and made those bad movies so much better. MST3K ran for 11 years and we loved it.
Now thanks to Creator Joel Hodgson and a Kickstarter campaign it looks like the Satellite of Love will be back to torment us with more bad movies. The Kickstarter campaign raised over 3 Million dollars, making it the second highest Kickstarter for a film project.
This series is already on its way to be being bigger and better than the original as they have now cast the mad scientist with none other than our favorite geek superstar Felicia Day. With a geek portfolio that includes Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along, The Guild, and Eureka how can they go wrong?
Felicia is cast as the daughter of Dr. Clayton Forrester, Kinga Forrester. Her partner in torment is Patton Oswalt, a talented voice actor who will probably be recognized for his role on Agents of Shield as the three Koenig Brothers.
Currently the Kickstarter campaign will get fans six more glorious episodes, but if you want to see more, then go and donate today!
