The ABC broadcast network has given a put-pilot commitment to “Damage Control,” a half hour, single camera comedy that follows the highly overworked, vastly underpaid, clean up crew of the Marvel Universe. Just like the fun classic comic of the late 8o’s, and later in 2008’s World War Hulk stories, Damage Control always got the short-end of the stick when it came to superhero clean up and recognition.
Specializing in dealing with the aftermath of the unique damages suffered from super hero conflicts, they’re the ones who are in charge of cleaning up after the Avengers blast a building to pieces, there to help keep fallout of PR to a minimum, or even track down a missing weapon of a hero. Damage Control is here for you!
“Damage Control,” based on the comic book series of the same name, hails from Ben Karlin, known for being an executive producer on “The Daily Show” and “The Colbert Report,” as well as a co-EP on “Modern Family.” Funny is right up this mans alley so making a show about Damage Control could work for prime time TV. The single camera comedy is working well for The Muppets so why not Marvel?!
Karlin with executive produce along with David Miner and Jeph Loeb, Marvel’s head of television. “Marvel’s Damage Control” is being produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television. More news to comes as it becomes available.
