Get your tissues ready Star Wars fans for this new special SDCC behind the scenes look at the filming of Star Wars The Force Awakens. Directed by J.J. Abrams (LOST, MI 3, Star Trek) Star Wars The Force Awakens is the first film from the historic franchise since 2005 (EpIII) that once began in a lonely dessert in 1976. As George Lucas would make a silly looking sci-fi move that has changed future film making forever. Take a look back as Abrams bring the franchise new blood with familiar faces and a whole new generation of new blood to new stories of far off galactic adventure yet to be told. I couldn’t help but tear up just a bit to this fantastic reel that was shown to frenzy fans in Hall H at #SDCC2015 including our very own Kimmy! There was also a kissed shared between Carrie Fisher (leia) and Harrison Ford (Han Solo) who was making his first public appearance since his plane crash. More on that when Kimmy is back from SDCC! We are all so jealous of her!
Star Wars:The Force Awakens by director J.J. Abrams, producer and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and writer Lawrence Kasdan. The filmmakers were joined on stage by cast members Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford to the surprise and delight of fans.
At the end of the Hall H presentation, the entire Hall H audience of more than 6,000 fans were all invited to continue the celebration and join cast and filmmakers at a surprise Star Wars Fan Concert. The San Diego Symphony performed the classic Star Wars music from John Williams at the Embarcadero Marina Park South.
