News from SDCC – Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Crossover Coming In November!

Batman_TMNT 2

Announced at San Diego Comic Con, DC Comics and IDW Publishing will be joining forces to bring fans a crossover like no other… Batman meets the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!  Slated for a November release, the six-issue miniseries will bring the Heroes in a Half Shell to Gotham to unite with the Dark Knight.

The miniseries will have the Turtles, and their nemesis Shredder, transported to an alternate universe by General Krang. They wind up in Gotham where they meet the caped crusader and end up assisting in battle against Batman’s deadly foes, all while attempting to return to their homeworld.  27-year old James Tynion IV has been chosen to write the series and Freddie E. Williams II has been tapped to produce the artwork. TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman (and others) will provide variant covers for the series.
