Lionsgate is so confident in the success of this film that they’ve already started laying out the groundwork for a third movie to be released in 2018.
The original low-budget movie was a hit and amassed of $80M in the box office, so of course a sequel was ordered for release in October 2016. Even if this one bombs, they’ve already come out way ahead of the game.

Rumors were circulating that Disney was making a third in this series, but those rumors have been cleanly squashed. When numerous stars have stated that there is nothing in the works. If there is something in the works then those involved will dance around the issue. There is no screenwriter, there is no storyline and there are definitely no actors on board for it.
A teen comedy, the likes of which had not been seen in a generation. It was a very low-budget production that made a lot of money so Warner Bros is getting a sequel which is due out August 19, 2016. We don’t have a plot or casting, but I’m certain they will continue with the low-budget and manage to pull something out at the last-minute.
Coming to theaters March 2016, this film is set to be the prequel to Alien. It is supposed to pick up where Prometheus ended and lead up to where Alien starts. Ridley Scott is the producer this time around and director has not yet been chose.
