‘World War Z’ Gets a Sequel… Or Should We Say, “Zequel”?

We have seen the rise and fall of the vampire and now we have moved onto the next big thing…  Zombies.

With the hit show AMC’s The Walking Dead, it almost seems as though other film makers and television show directors are jumping on the zombie apocalypse bandwagon.  One movie that was dead set to not disappoint was World War Z.

Starring Brad Pitt, World War Z was based off a novel written by Max Brooks.  The announcement for the sequel to this movie is said to be released on June 9, 2017.  We guess that is okay seeing as The Walking Dead is said to be signed on for a handful more of seasons so the zombie craze will still be alive and well then.  (See what I did there?)

Written by Steven Knight (Shutter Island) and directed by Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible), this movie could possibly be deadly to those box office sales.
