Prison Break, the successful series that ran four seasons on the Fox network from 2005-2009, looks to be coming back to the small screen.  Following the footsteps of other once-aired series being given new life in a shortened capacity (Twin Peaks, The X-Files, 24: Live Another Day), it appears that the popular prison drama is looking to bring back its lead characters for a limited-run series.

For those unfamiliar with the premise, or for a recap of the series’ synopsis, here’s a look at the trailer for Prison Break…

Though still in development, it looks as if the show will feature a self-contained storyline that would tie up loose ends and in the end come to a conclusion.  It is uncertain as to which characters will return but seems, as of now, to consist of its two major players, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) and Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller).  The two actors currently are involved in The Flash/Arrow spinoff TV series Legends of Tomorrow, reprising their roles as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold (Miller) and Mick Rory/Heat Wave (Purcell), which is scheduled to debut in the middle of next season.  Given this revival of Prison Break will be a shortened season series, it will enable both men to continue with their current project.

Who would you like to see in the revival of players from Fox River State Penitentiary?  C-Note?  Sucre?  T-Bag?  As news develops on the advancement of this project, PopCultHQ.com will keep you updated!
