Guitar Hero is a growing franchise, popular for gamers and music lovers alike. With the Guitar Hero series and the Rock Band series, the game has exploded in popularity and it is to no surprise that Activision has decided to revive this one-of-a-kind game.
Just when we thought about retiring those guitar controllers, Activision announced Guitar Hero Live GHTV, but this Guitar Hero game has a slight new twist. Instead of the fun animated characters, players will get to enjoy live actors as they play through the game in what could almost seem like their own music video or live concert. Not only have they come up with this new concept (along with adding new songs), but a new controller is set to be released for this highly anticipated game.
Okay, so maybe we can afford to retire the old guitars and get one of these babies. The classic, new, modern look ties in well with the new spin Activision plans on bringing with Guitar Hero Live.
According to Game Informer, Activision’s senior director of product management, Tyler Michaud, said the game is to be released “at a minimum… hundreds [of songs] at launch on day one in GHTV alone”. With promises of continually updated songs throughout the game’s existence, we can see GHTV is here to stay.
Guitar Hero Live is reportedly going to be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and even select mobile devices.
