Disney, who recently announced a Mulan live-action adaptation, revealed they will also be adapting your favorite ‘silly ole bear’, Winnie the Pooh.
According to Variety, Disney has hired writer-director Alex Ross Perry to write a script. Perry’s films include an indie “Listen Up Philip” and his latest, “Queen of Earth” which is set to debut at the Berlin International Film Festival.
In this live-action, which is still in very early stages of development, it will include Christopher Robin who will return as an adult to revisit Pooh in the Hundred Acre Wood.
Disney had success with the live-action film “Maleficent,” “Cinderella” and an upcoming live-action adaptation of “Beauty and the Beast.”
